Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is searching for a friendly and professional Food Services Cashier to support the USCG. As the first point of contact, the Cashier will greet and assist customers.

In this position, delivering outstanding customer service will be the main objective. Additional responsibilities include processing food orders, cleaning public spaces, and packaging orders. The ideal candidate will be friendly, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help determine their orders.
• Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
• Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff.
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
• Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
• Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
• Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces.
• Help kitchen staff when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills..
• Good mathematical skills.
• A current Alaska Approved Food Handlers Card is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Work is generally performed in a commercial cafeteria environment, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent reaching, walking, standing, lifting, stooping, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required. Employees may be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ketchikan, AK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
