Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing construction company in the Richmond/ Central Virginia Marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and experience working on large commercial and residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Attend, in person, site visits for upcoming/ solicited bid opportunities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Manage the bidding process, including preparing bid documents and coordinating sub-contractor quotes
• Negotiate contracts and work closely with peers and clients to ensure project requirements are met
• Oversee aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensure that work being performed is agreed upon scope.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure appropriate completion of projects
• Ensure compliance with all construction codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Manage the project close-out process, including preparing final invoices and handling punch-list items

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field- Preferred but not required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator and project manager or related field
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
