Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX—#LI-Remote

Working in the eprocurement sector for our Periscope product, the Product Management team is currently looking for a Project Manager. In this role, the Project Manager will manage the implementation and upgrade of solutions for clients. This encompasses supporting the sales process through the project completion, closeout and ongoing account management, using industry standard methodologies and processes. The position will provide high-quality professional services to enable the highest quality business solutions for clients.

Main responsibilities:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Establishes collaborative and effective working relationships with clients and 3rd party resources with common goals and success criteria;

· Leads multi-organization, cross-disciplinary project teams to meet the project goals, project dependencies, budgets and schedules;

· Provides day-to-day guidance and support to project team members;

· Actively identifies project risks and develop risk mitigation solutions in areas such as stakeholder engagement/support, client change leadership, client resourcing, project scope, project schedule and budget/revenue recognition;

· Develops advanced knowledge of product functionality and potential usage/configuration solutions for clients;

· Performs process-focused analysis of client procurement/purchasing processes and develops appropriate software functional design recommendations to be used in solution design sessions with clients;

· Prepares and updates project plans, schedules, revenue forecasts and customer status reports;

· Communicating with clients throughout the project lifecycle to properly manage the client relationship and deliverable expectations;

· Acts as customer liaison between client and internal departments (e.g., Product Management, Infrastructure, Development, etc.) during the implementation project;

· Travel required (50%).

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provides oversight and/or delivery of training services to client stakeholders;

· Provides oversight and assistance with client UAT for both software and related interfaces;

· Provides personalized developmental support services to project staff including goal setting, coaching, mentoring, feedback delivery, etc.;

· Contributes to and collaborates on internal Services group and company initiatives such as the development/modification of services project standards and development of company-wide strategic initiatives.

· Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office suite: particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

· Broad knowledge of public sector and/or higher education organizations, political environments, operations, people and systems based on career experience (as an internal employee or external consultant) preferred;

· Procurement and Contracts experience preferred;

· Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Smartsheet, Agile);

· Ability to manage teams/projects and bring them to success.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred;

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required;

· 3+ years of experience managing IT solution implementations, upgrades or support projects;

· Experience managing to deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs;

· Proven experience with software implementation projects of similar size and scope.
