PeopleReady of Faribault, MN is now hiring Project Managers! Support the Account Manager in delivering conforming product to the customer on time and on budget. PM has responsibility and authority for all internal and external process, including machine time studies, vendor approval and process, raw material approval and all quality matters. The PM shall be responsible for the time approvals, optimization and all PIN related activities. Oversee the spend from engineering, quality, and the shop on new part development and optimization efforts.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $70K / Year DOQ

What you'll be doing as a Project Manager:

• Take direction from the Account Manager to ensure that quality product is delivered on time and that profitability goals are achieved.
• Facilitate engineering meetings on new parts, full decision-making regarding vendor selection/changes. This includes raw material, internal processes and outside services in order to ensure quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.
• Responsible for all new part F/A activities, problem resolution with quality, the shop and overseeing all corrective actions on their project assignments.
• Responsible for time studies, Job-BOSS template updates, work instruction edits and ensuring that all quality documentation meets customer standards.
• Collaborate with the scheduling and purchasing to understand and enforce project timelines throughout the manufacturing and outside services to meet customer due dates K&G acknowledges.
• Monitor & manage projects finances and executions reporting back to account manager when gross discrepancies occur.
• Drive PIN (Process Improvement Needed) activities, and bring up issues to the Account Manager.
• Coordinate, and manage activities with Materials Manager on release planning.

Job requirements:

• 3 years experience minimum in a job shop machine shop environment.
• Basic understanding of Lean Principals.
• Comfortable working with both in house and external vendors.
• 2 year related degree or 5 years project management experience.
