Summary of position

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for active leadership of the project and cross-functional project team, ensuring projects are executed in line with strategic objectives when it comes to scope, requirements, quality, time, budget, and associated risks in a global, cross-functional matrix organization.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Software/Research & Development, Quality, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, and Finance) and manage multiple projects, varying in size and complexity, including schedule, scope, costs and resources
  • Develops and implements overall project plan, including cost, schedule, risk and performance and monitors progress against business key objectives and goals
  • Identify and prioritize resource needs for assigned projects and activities with supporting cross-functions
  • Identify, communicate, and manage technical challenges and business risks.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that project or program requirements and constraints are fully developed and documented
  • Document key team information, decisions, actions, key modifications to scope, resources, timelines, and milestones and ensure project management systems are kept up to date
  • Identify, evaluate the critical path, and challenge assumptions to increase robustness of the plan
  • Monitor performance vs. plan (budget and timeline)
  • Contribute towards acceleration of robust, quality development timelines, incorporation of strategic options (scenarios) analysis and risk management into project strategy/plans
  • Lead phase and business reviews, document meeting minutes, issues log, decision logs, metrics, and other key communications
  • Investigate and develop approach/solution to address technical problems with project teams
  • Drive and influence results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts across multiple sites and functions
  • Provide structured thinking to project team on overall execution strategy and approach
  • Provide timely communication on project progress to all relevant cross-functional stakeholders, and across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Maintain knowledge of the Straumann Group Orthodontics portfolio, customers, and business objectives
  • Record and report information as required for ongoing projects and regional alignments across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Oversee project documentation through document control systems in coordination with Change Control Board

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience of project management
  • 2+ years’ experience in Presentation prep and deliverance to
  • 3+ years’ experience in SDLC Methodologies, primarily Agile / SCRUM methodologies
  • 3+ years’ experience or knowledge of the Product Lifecyle Plan (PLCP)
  • 2+ years’ experience of working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
  • Proficient in computer skills and relevant software such as Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and pivot tables)
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • PMP certification
  • Experience in the dental or medical device industry
  • Ability to work within a team as an individual contributor in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in project management software tools - administrative experience
  • Proven ability to determine prioritization of projects while leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in solving challenges and working with various team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who needs minimal supervision and able to effectively manage through ambiguity
  • Ingenuity and willingness to develop creative solutions to complex problems within defined constraints
