About the role

The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined commercial project solutions with direct accountability for project delivery within a facility environment. This is NOT a remote position; the selected Project Manager will be required to report to the campus in Collegeville, Pennsylvania a minimum of four days per week.

What you’ll do

Lead all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual renovation and capital improvement projects. These projects are typically smaller and less complex in nature.

Demonstrate capability to read, understand and apply standard to sophisticated documents affecting projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings.

Interface and be in direct contact with the contractors in a permit to work environment.

Identify project resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard request for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients. Lead project resources/team providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.

Implement communication plans for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources advised. Facilitate project meetings.

Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and Client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.

Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Crafts action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees. You may also manage vendors, contractors and various other third party project delivery resources/team.


What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study, Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred and at least four years of related experience and/or training.

Experience and more technical expertise around various infrastrucutre initiatives and projects related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), HVAC, utility layout, modification to chemical lines and or experience in lab environments would be helpful.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Ability to identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop scopes, complete RFP process, and move contractors forward for selection as well as the ability to develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to optimally present information.
