Project Engineer – Dry

Schedule: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Strongsville, OH On-site

With nearly 150 years of expertise and the patent for the first-ever cloth-type dust collector, Sly, Inc. is at the forefront of industrial dust collection and air pollution equipment service and customization.

What we’re looking for:

• A Project Engineer who is a self-starter and works well under pressure. You demonstrate ownership and curiosity and go above and beyond for your teammates and customers.

What you’ll do:

• Learn the Sly product line and standards and create timely client quotes.
• Read customer specifications for requirements and note expectations.
• Work with Regional Sales Managers on applications’ equipment selection and the engineering department and shop for custom designs.
• Provide backup support for Regional Sales Managers when traveling.
• Build relationships with representatives, clients, and prospects.

What you need to succeed:

• Dust collection experience.
• Technical competency with the ability to understand industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize cross-functional projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals.

Qualifications that are a plus:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or you are in the process of pursuing an Engineering degree.
• Experience quoting capital equipment, preferably air pollution control equipment.

• Relocation assistance.
• Base salary of $55-$70K. – Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
• GREAT BONUS structure. – In addition to the base salary, you can earn an extra $2,750 - $10,500 or more based on company performance.
• 401(k) Plan with a loan feature.
• Cash Balance Pension Plan. – Sly contributes $2,250 to your retirement savings plan. That coupled with a guaranteed 4% rate of return means you get a consistent contribution every year.
• Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). – Typically, employers will do a 401K company match for retirement at 3-4%. We provide the ESOP retirement plan instead because it generally allows our employees to earn 1/5 of their annual compensation for retirement yearly. Sometimes more.
