Zachry Group is currently looking for a talented and self-motivated Project Controls Specialist to join our Engineering Office. This is a great opportunity to work on challenging projects with interesting clients across various markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up jobs and budgets in STEPS software
• Review and reconcile invoicing
• Manage accruals to ensure cost forecasting and reporting is accurate
• Forecast cost based on client time frame and deliverables
• Monitor budgets and assist in mitigating cost overruns
• Build and maintain project engineering schedules using Primavera P6
• Perform all other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 4 years of Project Controls experience within the Energy & Chemicals industry
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have experience using Primavera P6
• Must be proficient in Excel – Microsoft Suite capability
• Understanding of general multi-discipline engineering workflow
• Experience in cost tracking and reporting
• Ability to multi-task and report to multiple Project Managers.
• Ability to provide support to multiple ongoing projects at a given time
• Must be self-motived, attention to detail and have an assertive personality for follow up and execution of work

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Scheduling experience within the Energy & Chemicals industry
• Experience using Microsoft Projects

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be in a general office environment operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Occasionally required to work in an industrial location where noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
