General Description


Assist in supervision of youth substance use disorder prevention programs in conjunction with OPS Program supervisor and youth substance abuse program coordinator. Primary focus is administrative oversight, community liaison, and public relations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Administrative Oversight of the Patrick Miller Youth Substance Abuse prevention programs.
  • Assist in Administrative supervision of program staff
  • Assessments of referred youth to the program
  • Treatment including Family Therapy, Group Therapy and Individual Therapy
  • Outreach Homebased Assessment
  • Attend Statewide BSAS meetings as assigned
  • Partner with OPS clinical supervisor in the management of the program.
  • Oversee staff assignment to schools and community events.
  • Link with BSAS on state mandates and initiatives
  • Oversee the collection of program statistics, data collection and outcome measures.
  • Assist Division Director in writing grants
  • Represent the program and the Brien Center in community collations and planning meetings including the Pittsfield Prevention Partnership (PPP) and other like groups
  • Participate in agency-wide programs and planning as needed.
  • Consult and coordinate with other programs and agencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a related field (education, social work, psychology)
  • Five (5) years working with children and adolescents and families in the field of mental health required.
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge and experience working with community organizations and building liaisons
  • Experience in data collection and outcome analysis
  • Ability to transmit knowledge to others through an educational liaison.
  • Knowledge of community mental health systems, education systems and community resources.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and presentation skills.
  • Leadership talent and the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge of community resources.

  • Flexibly respond to program scheduling needs.
  • Encourage independence.
  • Represent agency in a professional manner in all community contacts.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Agency’s mission and community mental health principles.
  • ACRA certification
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Use of personally insured automobile.
  • Driver’s License check (RMV).
  • Criminal Offender Record Information check (CORI).
