Summary:
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Housing and Community Services, the Program Supervisor will be responsible for the operational success of the Housing Workx! Program, provide instruction of PACT and Deconstruction Curriculum and provide support to the Weatherization and Energy conservation activities within the agency. Ensuring seamless implementation, program management, development, delivery, quality control, and evaluation. In this role the Program Supervisor will be the key external face of the Housing Workx! Program. Provide essential instruction, training, and direction for program participants (including PACT and Deconstruction), Staff and Volunteers regarding program activities and required procedures.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates construction activities for Housing and Weatherization projects, including Affordable/Attainable Housing, Blight Reduction/Deconstruction, Weatherization, and other energy efficient activities.
  • Provide essential training, instruction, and direction for program participants (including PACT and Deconstruction), Staff and Volunteers regarding program activities and required procedures.
  • Recruitment of students for PACT and Deconstruction training
  • Completes all paperwork with efficiency according to housing and weatherization program policies.
  • Keeps current on all governmental and contractual regulations, procedures, and systems as they relate to program management and implementation.
  • Responsible for coordinating assigned programs with community resources.
  • Maintain all programmatic and client confidentiality standards.
  • Assist clients in attaining agency service; provide opportunities and resources during initial contact and appointment setting.
  • Assist clients during in-taking process and in completion of necessary applications and paperwork.
  • Assist in determining client eligibility for services within the Housing Program portfolio based on stakeholder and agency guidelines.
  • Provide essential support to Deputy Director with all Training Center Activities and Schedules
  • Maintain hard copy and digital records of client eligibility and services as programmatically required.
  • Attain or maintain certifications as required by programmatic stakeholders.
  • Stay current on all regulations, systems, and procedures related to the Community Service Program and Housing Program portfolio(s).

  • Recruit partners, and stakeholders for program participation.
  • Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process related to Housing and Weatherization and expansion of the program.
  • Engage CAAC Leadership around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model and operational delivery of agency programs.
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, innovative, predictive models and activity-based analyses to provide insight into organization/program operations and business plans.
  • Seeks to build and maintain partnership arrangements between CAAC and various potential collaborators and stakeholders.

Excellent time management.

Knowledge of standard administrative practices and procedures.

Knowledge and understanding of issues related to individuals and families in poverty.

Ability to maintain client and organizational confidentiality.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional environment, in off- site venues, outside event areas, and at times construction job sites. Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The occasional use of common residential and specialized construction tools may be required.


Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are based on program needs. The official schedule will be determined. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Evening Instruction hours may be required.


Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.


Required Education and Experience:
Post-secondary Education in building trade(s), housing, weatherization, or energy efficiency related field preferred. GED with 5 years relevant and equivalent work experience accepted. Three plus years of successful work, and experience with volunteer or non-profit organization preferred. Certifications: PACT Trainer, Quality Control Inspector and Energy Auditor and Licensed in Building Trades Preferred.
