JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will:

• Operate at a strategic business level to ensures projects/programs are in line with Blue Shield of California strategic goals
• Consult with all levels including senior management, make recommendations, and influence decision-making
• Leverage cross-functional internal and external relationships to drive initiatives forward
• Plan and implement multiple and extremely complex projects/programs spanning across business areas
• Determine key business issues, develop effective action plans and implement to successful conclusion
• Be accountable for: Budget Planning & Execution, Communication & Collaboration, Strategic Planning & Execution, Program Management, Innovation & Change Management, and MCS Transformation.
• Partner with Operations to identify opportunities for improvement by leading LEAN events.
• Manage strategic projects to completion, with scope, resources, and timeline in mind.
• Drive improvements to member & provider experience, thus increase Net Promoter Score across all lines of business.
• Mentor Transformation team
• Partner to enable quicker time to market and support growth goals of the organization.
• Identify opportunities across people, process, technology, and policy to optimize the business with the members’ perspective in mind.
• Resolves issues escalated from cross-functional team, and/or escalates to MCS Transformation Driver with recommended path forward.
• Leads cross-functional team through Business Process Management process steps, with careful consideration for people, process and technology.
  

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 136400.00 to $ 204600.00 for California.

Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

• QUALIFICATIONS
  Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience

• Formal project manager certification and/or training strongly preferred.
• Experience driving change from an external perspective
• Experience providing business strategy, business requirements and planning required.
• Experience driving cross functional projects and initiatives preferred; Lean and Agile experience preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and program/project management skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level
• Ability to prioritize and manage work and trade-offs against critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent influence, relationship management, and engagement skills in building alignment and accountability without formal ownership or authority over talent resources within all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented, organized and can work independently to drive successful completion of projects to meet goals.
• Exercises collaborative approach in determining objectives and goals.
