Job Description:

The Program Manager of the Emergency Response Program must respond to emergencies from an authorized SCA representative. Immediate mobilization of personnel and the required trades and labor, hire contractors/sub-contractor(s) and procure required materials and equipment for the purpose of correcting stabilizing and/or eliminating hazardous materials or dangerous conditions at public schools in the five boroughs of the City of New York. We assist in scope development and provide on-site management and coordination, contractor labor, engineering services and safety coordination to stabilize the facility and implement temporary or permanent repair. Our work includes all phases of project development such as building masonry façade and roof parapet repair, installation of sidewalk bridging, plumbing repairs and replacement, electrical repairs and replacement, provision of temporary heating or cooling, asbestos abatement and structural steel reinforcement.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct communication with client, facility, stakeholders and user groups
  • Resolves complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements
  • Provide expertise in managing and coordinating responses to emergencies that may arise in connection with certain SCA projects.
  • Manage and direct multiple projects with all aspects of complex programs and projects by coordinating with Architects, Inspectors, Office Engineers, Estimators, and Schedulers and be accountable for all aspects of the project.
  • Provide objective analysis and sound judgement by evaluating and reporting project performance from inception to completion.
  • Competencies include setup of work breakdown structure, establishing levels of control and detail, planning and scheduling, cost analysis and forecasting, progress measurement, earned value performance, risk analysis and change control.
  • Responsible for managing, controlling, forecasting, and reporting cost and schedule performance for projects throughout the program and acts as primary point of contact for client and analyzes technical and legal aspects and obtain project’s analysis of costs.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, and/or construction related field from an accredited college or university
  • 10 years of diverse experience, full-time technical experience in the construction or design fields; (5) of which must involve managing all phases of construction work of a scale and scope similar or greater than work envisioned under this agreement and six (6) years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Shall have demonstrated ability in the area of work under this agreement, such as management, supervisory, analysis of technical/legal questions and analysis of cost.
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects and obtaining project’s technical, cost, and schedule objectives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $158,000.00 per year
