Job Responsibilities
The Professional Mentor is responsible for:- Working with 8-12 youth in school, home and community settings (transporting children involved.)
- Teaching important life skills such as personal responsibility, completing chores, positive relationships, and more, according to model.
- Ensuring documentation of outings, hours served, contacts with families, teachers, youth, and others.
- Working hours may be flexible but will include evenings and weekends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, and 2+ years’ experience working with young children
- OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, with an Associate's degree.
- A valid NC driver’s license, minimum of 3 years driving experience and clean driving record. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
