We are seeking a talented and dedicated individuals to serve as Professional Mentor for our Charlotte, Friends of the Children (FOTC) affiliate. Job Responsibilities

The Professional Mentor is responsible for:
  • Working with 8-12 youth in school, home and community settings (transporting children involved.)
  • Teaching important life skills such as personal responsibility, completing chores, positive relationships, and more, according to model.
  • Ensuring documentation of outings, hours served, contacts with families, teachers, youth, and others.
  • Working hours may be flexible but will include evenings and weekends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, and 2+ years’ experience working with young children
  • OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, with an Associate's degree.
  • A valid NC driver’s license, minimum of 3 years driving experience and clean driving record. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
Salary: $37,000 – $40,000
