Welder

Position Scope:

Operate and produce to customer’s specifications while using job work orders and blue prints. Work close with co-workers while ensuring a safe and lean work space. Embrace and encourage continuous improvement ideas to the Advance team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in assigned welding techniques
• Interpretation of shop drawings, including weld wire symbology
• Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and galvanized metal
• Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Conventional and precision measuring instruments
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation
• Welding equipment maintenance
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Safety and housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications, Requirements and Education:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Welding Diploma or applicable years of experience
• Ability to read tape measure
• Successful completion of an internal welding test
• Must be able to stand for long periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the 10 hour shift
• Must be willing to cross train in other areas

Pay: From $23.50 per hour
