Job description

Talento Search Group has an opening for a Production Supervisor in the Columbia City, Indiana area. This is a direct-hire position the pay range is $60,000-75,000, depending on experience.

Essential Functions include to (but not limited to):

Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.

Trains New Employees.

Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel and resources.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.

Studies production schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, or work crew.

Partners with on-site management team to ensure the customer's expectations are achieved.

Responsible for meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

Establishes and communicates goals - objectives - emphasizes accountability and inspires positive behavior changes to front line employees.

Required Education and experience:

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Kaizen and 5S is preferred

Supervision, Coaching, Reliability, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity, Planning and Strategy, Manufacturing, Good Organizational Skills. Must have the communication/interpersonal skills and ability required to directly supervise personnel while providing for their training and personal development. Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and Time Management.
