Work with Shift Supervisor and Production Management team to maximize production and ensure the quality of finished product. Direct area of responsibility shall be assisting Shift Supervisor in the fixed asset inventory. Provide direction and leadership to full time mechanical employees and conduct Continuous Improvement (CI) Team meetings. Planning and implementing capital projects shall be of major importance due to the time restraints placed on the facility by its products. In the non-processing season, assigned tasks by Shift Supervisor shall be dealt with in a professional and timely manner.

The salary range for this role is: $61,152 - $100,880.

Responsibilities:

  • FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Ensure product safety through development, review, and enforcement of company policy.

Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards.
Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.

  • DESCRIBE THE PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:Maintain the quality standards set by Del Monte Foods

Responsible for Quality record review and ability to handle proper procedure with deviations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Guide and direct seasonal workforce
Assist in the raw product delivery, processing, and storage
Assure production records are kept accurately in a timely and honest manner
Make safety a top priority among all employees in an effort to reduce injuries by introducing a behavioral based safety model
During the non-processing season maintenance issues shall be the main priority
Ordering and receiving of machinery and/or parts from preferred vendors
Provide guidance for work priority for full time and seasonal employees
Become familiar with planning and implementing capital projects
Provide leadership for Continuous Improvement Team meetings during the off season.
During the processing season oversee production for the given shift assigned
Provide support to the Utility department during off season maintenance pertaining to man hour tracking, parts ordering, and supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Degree with 3-5 years of experience; OR No degree with 7+ years of experience.
