Job overview

This role will support the organization by managing material and scheduling operations to meet internal and external global customer needs. This role executes strategies that provide a positive customer experience, providing outstanding service and satisfaction. To be successful you must be driven, detail oriented, precise, customer focused, and have a sense of urgency.

Primary responsibilities

Creating and adding requisitions into the Oracle system.

Planning of work orders from receipt of a sale order to the shipment of blanks and final products for all 3 departments, PPD, QMD, and PMD.

Create and maintain spread sheets to track product lead times, and costs and keep updated records on status of orders.

Communicate with Purchasing to expedite vendor orders as required.

Work closely with Production to convert weekly plan into daily work center schedules that manage constraints of manpower, equipment and optimize costs.

Collaborate with cross functional groups including CSD, Shipping/Receiving/Stockroom, Purchasing, Sales and Engineering.

Use initiative and proactive approach to achieve inventory reduction goal.

Interact effectively with vendors and production management in problem resolution, performance evaluation, and identification of improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering. Other disciplines will be considered with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a strong production planning background with increasing responsibilities (creating master production schedules, issuing production work orders in a high-volume quick-turnaround environment, editing Work Order sequences and BOMs, inventory analysis, etc).
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, capacity planning software, and ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. Oracle preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.
