Job Summary

This position will expose you to the Acuity Brands product portfolio and business systems. In this position, you will become the product subject matter expert, preparing you for a wide variety of product leadership, sales, and even marketing roles. Your technical and systems expertise will shine as you assist the product teams in launching new innovative products that will transform the lighting industry.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Contributes by assisting in some aspects of product life cycle management from supporting new product introductions to sustaining existing products. Collaborates with other team members to achieve business objectives. Provides timely and helpful responses to requests for information, warranty deviations, and product modifications to external and internal customers. As needed, seek additional guidance and advice from Leadership to resolve customer issues. Attend trainings to close product knowledge gaps and improve technical capabilities.
Assist frontline Technical Support on escalated questions/issues such as, product validation, application assistance, technical data, product functionality, replacement parts, and job/field-related issues.

1. Order Exceptions
2. RFWDs
3. RFDs- Level 1" 65%
Responsible for managing the updates of literature including Spec Sheets, Instructions Sheets, and other Collateral on website. Responsible for identifying incorrect information and managing update on websites. 15%
Perform duties, including, but not limited to, Product Hierarchy Structure, pricing validation rules, PDM attributing as needed, and coordination of photometric testing and scaling. 5%
Assist Sales as needed with and Competitive Cross-Overs
Years of Product/Customer Support Experience. Project Management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Must be a team player. Computer applications - Oracle, E-mail, OMS, Internet, etc. Proficient knowledge of Product Line. Working Knowledge of wiring, LED technology including LED drivers and LED PCBAs. Understanding of lighting, photometry, applications, electrical and mechanical components. Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Lighting experience preferred
