Essential Functions

  • Product development, profitability, pricing, and performance analysis.
    • Monitor and analyze success of products and services in meeting members’ needs and credit union financial needs.
    • Assist in design, implementation and roll out of new products, services, or significant changes in existing products, as needed.
    • Leverage financial and member analytics and competitive information to identify new areas of opportunity for growth and expansion that further the credit union’s business strategy and financial performance.
    • Lead and/or participate on cross functional teams to implement product changes and new product development initiatives according to agreed-upon timelines.
    • Provide bi-weekly competitive pricing report/analysis to the Pricing Committee, Senior Management and Retail Management.
    • Provide monthly deposit reporting and analysis to Pricing Committee.
  • Products Subject Matter Expertise.
    • Provide subject matter expertise within Marketing on product performance and strategy:
    • Profitability
    • Competitive position/opportunities/threats
    • Consumer and competitive trends
  • Promotional Performance Analyses.
  • Develop promotion profitability/ROI tracking and analyses, in collaboration with Database Marketing Strategist, to determine effectiveness of promotional programs.
  • Voice of the Member Survey Program Administration
    • Acts as the “product Owner” for Summit’s Voice of the Member survey program (executed by a third party, currently Member Loyalty Group).
    • Responsible for vendor interface with program provider.
    • Acts as administrator for the program, working cross functionally to execute the program, meet stakeholder needs and provide organizational reporting on results (Monthly/Quarterly).
  • Supports Pricing Committee
    • Provides weekly competitive rate report to Pricing Committee.
    • Provides additional data/analytical support to the Pricing Committee as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Generates ideas for improving the value and effectiveness of assigned projects and programs, as well as ideas for new projects, promotions, approaches, and departmental processes.
  • Understand and is accountable for executing all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP).

  • Assist with additional projects and other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; MBA a plus. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in performing advanced financial analysis of organization, branch and product profitability in the financial services industry preferred by not required.
  • Professional, well-developed written and oral communication skills necessary for projecting a positive image as a representative for the Credit Union.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, credit union movement and philosophy preferred.
  • Quantitative orientation - mathematical and financial analysis skills required (cost analysis, profit projection calculations and concepts involving statistical analysis)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and database management required.
