The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes establishing appropriate requirements by understanding customer needs, market and business opportunities, prioritizing features to meet TRIMEDX goals, partnering with development for quality products and solutions, creating the right information for a successful launch and adoption, establishing metrics for success and understanding the “value” the market is placing on the product. The Product Manager contributes to the product vision, establishes the roadmap and aligns the product roadmap with overall portfolio. This individual will work closely with other members of the product management team, business development, client services, operations, quality and regulatory, solution marketing and marketing teams. The product manager must have demonstrated ability to create requirements that will drive “value” to customers and to enable TRIMEDX to achieve overall business objectives. The incumbent will have experience working cross-functionally and be able to clearly articulate complex concepts into market needs and functional requirements which drive development and adoption of the solution. The product manager combines science from market research with the art of knowing where the market is going to ensure TRIMEDX is leading and defining clinical asset management. Aligned with TRIMEDX’ Vision, Mission and Values, this individual will perform in an Agile development environment and work with appropriate areas for education and adoption.
Location: This role is eligible for primarily remote based work in the Eastern & Central times zones of the continental United States, with close proximity to a major airport. Role is Hybrid: Candidates must have the ability to travel as necessary for business to client sites, conferences, seminars, meetings & trainings, etc., including to our Indianapolis, Indiana Central Office.
Responsibilities
Product Management
  • Establishes and develops the product roadmap and contributes to overall solution roadmap. Product Manager owns, defines and prioritizes requirements.
  • Gathers market requirements via secondary and primary research. Ability to articulate and translate requirements into product features to meet market challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients, prospects, client services, implementation, sales, and other outside influencers to ensure customer feedback is being properly considered within the product solution.
  • Develops detailed strategies plans for future capabilities based on the backlog and R&D pipeline. Manages and communicates backlog and status to stakeholders.
  • Be the product champion and leader within product design, development, testing and enablement.
  • Develops value propositions and communications for incorporation into all commercial and operational activities.
  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies, best practices, market trends, client/customer needs and competitive capabilities.
  • Translates complex concepts into clear, digestible business appropriate language; creates images, graphics or charts that provide exceptional clarity for or add impact to otherwise complex material and packages presentations concisely leadership. Including wire frames for testing.
  • Partner with commercial and operational teams to identify pilot and beta sites. Design plan, metrics and measurement performance of pilot and beta and translate results into requirements, including go or no-go decisions.
  • Brief the executive team on statuses and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy and any necessary financials/budgets.
  • Represent the product and company in business development, marketing and thought leadership activities.
Technology and Development
  • Understands overarching framework and mapping of data and workflow integrations into/out of key platforms, as well as other data systems, as it relates to integrated portfolio solutions.
  • Work within the SAFe Agile methodologies used by development and actively participate in improving our processes and operational efficiency.
  • Engage product design resources as necessary to ensure user experience and product quality achieve the standards necessary to drive adoption and engagement.
Delivery and Operations
  • As applicable, accountable for partnering with operations for staffing model development, central support integration strategies and planning, and the definition of success metrics.
  • Charged with the delivery of completed products and attributes to ensure standardized, structured and successful implementation with operations and/or across the enterprise.
  • Partner with product marketing and training to develop appropriate content for training and enablement.
Team
  • Support Commercial Opportunities as needed, including speaking and participation in tradeshow and other industry events.
  • Creates and fosters an environment of innovation; removes roadblocks and enables strategic risk taking; advocates and drives change management and adoption of behaviors and practices.
  • Work with teams to continuously drive improvements and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Work with other business units to ensure that developed/recommended policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced.
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members.
  • Clearly communicate best practices, roadblocks, timelines and/or risks to all parts of the business as appropriate.
  • Actively participate business, operational and other meetings as needed.

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5-years of Finance, Product Marketing, Strategy, Product Development and/or Product Management experience required
  • Prefer Pragmatic Marketing Certification or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in software, informatics or medical device development
  • Understanding of Agile development and software design processes
  • Experience with business, financial and project planning
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong project and program management skill
  • Previous experience in taking complex concepts and creating functional requirements
  • Self-starter that is comfortable taking initiative
  • Familiarity and comfort functioning in a matrixed organizational environment and the ability to work successfully cross-functionally
  • A track record of managing, leading, developing and growing service capabilities and offerings is preferred
  • Ability to deal well in an ambiguous environment while remaining productive and execution oriented
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
