About the Job

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, service-minded individual to join our team as a Temporary Procurement Coordinator supporting our Procurement Operations team. The temp assignment is for approximately 6 months with the potential to become a permanent full time position.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as liaison between the Corporate Procurement Department and our stores locations.
  • Monitor online mailbox to ensure timely responses to all store supply issues.
  • Categorize online mailbox issues to facilitate metrics.
  • Coordinate with stores resolving supply issues related to the stores ability to order and receive supplies.
  • Work closely with store, warehouse, buyers and office personnel to resolve supplies ordering issues.
  • Communicate water delivery issues directly with vendor(s).
  • Support Purchasing Buyers and management with any assistance needed to resolve internal customer issues related to supply ordering, including vendor order tracking.
  • Communicate with Purchasing Buyers and management regarding any store ordering issues or processing issues related to supply orders or system issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Develop training materials and train store personnel on the proper use of ePro for supply ordering purposes.
  • Liaison with Construction to ensure new and renovated stores receive their supplies in a timely manner so as not to interfere with the Construction schedule.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of relevant Tailored Brands Store Operations policies and processes as well as Procurement policies and processes
  • Provide management with process improvement recommendations that help streamline ordering and/or Procurement processes.
  • Provide process expertise and insight to help drive procurement decision-making and sound process planning.
  • Demonstrate a service-oriented mentality and a high sense of ownership of the assigned problems and requests.
  • Additional responsibilities duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2-5 years of experience with procurement processing, customer service, Supply Chain or relevant experience required.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft’s E-Procurement and/or SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, with the ability to pay strict attention to detail while handling multiple tasks in a service- and results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exhibit excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Willingness to take ownership and dedicate the time needed to complete departmental and company-wide objectives.
  • Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor, as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as operate as a strong contributor to team successes.
  • Ability to effectively work in fast-paced environment, assimilating information rapidly, while working under time constraints.
  • Work well in a team environment.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a hybrid location near the Houston Corporate Office.
