As a Process Engineer, the core role responsibilities are centered around establishing, monitoring, and maintaining process build methods while collaborating with CIPT/Module Centers, Customer Technical Services (CTS), and our internal operations and quality teams (Gated Teams) to ensure accurate and on time process plans. The Columbus Engine Center’s (CEC) Gated Teams configuration symbolizes the criticality of all functional areas collaborating and selflessly partnering together to ensure right first-time execution.

This role will also perform a technical advisory role in the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of jet engines as well as support other functions within CEC including Materials, Quality, and Accounts Management when routine technical questions and issues arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations in solving any assembly/configuration/inspection problems.
  • Create and maintain accurate process plans.
  • Provide timely responses to Customer and Engineering technical Questions (IPFs) and requests for changes within the Engine Maintenance System
  • You will seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency through the use of new materials, processes or technology.
  • Assist in training mechanics, inspectors and others related to various technical issues.
  • Participate in failure investigations and Problem Resolution Boards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other STEM field of study and 2+ years of prior engineering experience. Or An Advanced Degree in Engineering or another (STEM) related field.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required do to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System
  • Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engine or the aerospace field preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
