Inland Packaging is a local label and packaging manufacturer seeking skilled and experienced talent to join our growing team as a Press Operator. We currently have positions available for a night shift.

We print labels for brands like Kraft Heinz, New Glarus Brewing, Sprecher’s, Leinenkugels, and Coors Light. Inland family owned business (77 years- to be exact) that invests in cutting edge technology and provides endless career advancement opportunities.

Let’s Talk About the Job: Press Operator

The Press Team plays a vital role in the success of the Inland team with a variety of tasks including:

· Read and understand a job ticket; Interpret layouts, ensure that correct paper is issued and determines ink to use.

· Responsible for press make-ready and set-up; determine best sequence of colors, set ink fountains to achieve ink/water balance, assist in mounting scores and perf, oversee overall set-up of press, such as sheet size and dryer setting and check drawn-out sheet to layout.

· Achieve and monitor color for consistency.

· Assist in wash up between jobs.

· Completes necessary paper work and records, including recording operations and inventory on computer.

· Examines printed product for ink density, position on paper and registration and makes adjustments throughout production to maintain guide, registration and color density.

· Inspects plates for visual defects.

· Mounts plates, blankets and balances color.

Essential Skills & Experience:

- High school diploma or general education degree required

- 3 years of related press experience and/or training

- Ability to work well with others

- Highly motivated and detail oriented

Work Schedule:

Rotating 12 hour shifts, 6:00pm – 6:00am.

Work schedule will be as follows:
Week One: Work Three Days Per Week

Week Two: Work Four Days Per Week

Every Other Weekend OFF!

Pay:

Pay is dependent on experience, skill-set, shift and the press that you’ll be operating. The roles are currently open have wages between $20.00 - $33.00 to start.
