This role has hybrid reporting (balance of onsite and work-from-home) is in our Macedon and Williamson, NY facilities.

WHAT WE NEED

At BRF, we are experiencing a period of rapid growth as a result of successful relationships with existing customers and a rapid influx of new customers. To enable successful, sustainable long-term growth, BRF is building an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). The EPMO is responsible for leading large, growth-enabling or cost-saving projects with significant cross-functional interdependencies. By bridging immediate opportunities with long-term strategy, structuring problems, and proactively identifying interdependencies, the Enterprise Project Management Office will ensure BRF is uniquely positioned to execute with speed without sacrificing long-term efficiency and effectiveness.

BRF is looking for an experience, senior level Principal Project Manager within the EPMO group to coordinate efforts of enterprise-wide team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver substantial commercialization and enterprise-wide projects from ideation through efficient turnover to manufacturing. The Principal Project Manager will also provide thought leadership and project portfolio level reporting to the Executive Leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Act as a pillar of process and entrepreneur leadership ensuring a team based collaborative approach to usher projects through phase/gate processes while managing project portfolios. Deliver projects that meet business intent, timeline, cost and profit commitments while considering implications on long-term business strategy.


  • Develop and maintain highly complex project portfolios including but not limited to procurement and packaging cost savings projects, new process implementation, capacity optimization, and logistics streamlining. Ensure all relevant stakeholders are involved and impacts to manufacturing operations are understood and mitigated.


  • Identify and secure support resources outside of the EMPO team to ensure successful execution and delivery of projects through full scale production and/or implementation. Understand all manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and packaging projects across the enterprise providing guidance on fit, prioritization, and resourcing.


  • Evaluate business and project processes, implementing enhancements, automating manual processes, and train the organization to best practices. Lead and administer the organizations Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.


  • Act as an agile business architect, that can be deployed to analyze, map, and improve specific aspects of the overall enterprise architecture alongside functional leaders. This may include but is not limited to engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and logistics.


  • Will mentor and support more junior members of the EPMO and cross-functional teams by exemplifying best practices in influence, collaboration, systems/enterprise thinking, and empowered decision-making.


  • Participate in, and or lead master planning exercises to support business growth, investment strategies, and multi-year business planning.


  • As required, directly manage capital projects ranging from consulting exercises to smaller cross-site exercises/installations, partnering with engineering, facilities, manufacturing, maintenance, and digital subject matter experts.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Required Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Related Field. Other non-technical degrees will be considered with demonstrated experience implementing enterprise solutions in related industries.
  • 7+ or more years’ experience leading teams, planning, and executing commercialization and/or capital projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience directly leading or collaborating with multiple functions including commercial teams, R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, and EHS/Quality
  • Experience implementing and administrating programs required.
  • Vertical Start up, Brown Field/ Green Field experience preferred.
  • Some experience with regulatory authorities (OSHA, EPA, USDA)
  • Manufacturing experience is required.


Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Degree
  • PMP Certification
  • Food and/or beverage equipment manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Experience leading senior leadership teams through near and long-term organizational strategy development process.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert level portfolio, program, and project management skills including planning, risk analysis and mitigation, prioritization, and resource management
  • Ability to lead and coach team members in the areas of influence, collaboration, systems/enterprise thinking, and empowered decision-making
  • Blend of strategic thinking and tactical actions applied to issues at hand
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required to deliver clear perspectives on complex business problems to all levels of the organization
  • A pro-active, high-energy attitude, with a bias towards action
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and priorities at once, delegating effectively.
  • Track record of excellence, ability to drive change and deliver results
  • Familiar with statistical methods, Six Sigma, and Lean concepts.
  • Familiar with implementing digital applications from concept to launch.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project. Experience with Web Based PLM software platforms a plus.
