Primary Purpose

Under the general direction of the lead Assistant General Counsel for retail regulatory and compliance matters, provides day to day analytical and regulatory compliance support to business teams responsible for renewable and carbon-free energy products and services, including but not limited to electric renewable products (such as Constellation Offsite Renewables solutions (“CORe”), renewable natural gas (“RNG”) products, and hourly carbon-free energy matching (“HCFE Matching”)). This role has primary responsibility for tracking, managing, and completing many regulatory compliance activities associated with these renewable and carbon-free energy products and services and will be looked to within the Legal Department and other business units as a subject matter expert in this area.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Completes filings and regulatory compliance activities associated with renewable electricity and natural gas product offerings, including but not limited to Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) and emission-free energy certificate (EFEC) tracking, registration, and filing activities; Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements relating to renewable natural gas; and state regulatory filings and compliance obligations relating to renewable products.

Provides compliance support to commercial teams on individual transactions and product development.

Monitors and analyzes regulatory and legislative developments that may have compliance implications for renewable products and services.

  • Requires a BA or BS and 8-10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Familiarity with renewable energy products and the standards governing them
  • Highly organized with the ability to independently set priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent judgment and risk assessment skills
  • Ability to plan and organize workload, manage multiple projects and deliverables and to delegate tasks when appropriate
  • Ability to lead and/or participate effectively in cross-functional teams
