Duties
Job responsibilities include:
- Provide social/emotional, physical, cognitive support for children.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities/expereinces to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment ? including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Follow all Arizona State licensing guidelines.
- Be able to lift and carry children (ages may vary from infants to 5 years old)
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with parents through informal discussions, parent-communication app, and parent-teacher conferences
- Work cooperatively and respectfully with all team members
Requirements
- Must clear full background check.
- Must have graduated high school
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card by AZDPS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of child development and willingness to continue to learning
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, parents) and foster a team environment in the classroom.
- Flexible and dependable when it comes to scheduling.
Nice To Haves
- Professional childcare experience
- AA, BA, or master's degree in early childhood or related field
- Ability to work over the summer
- Ability to work until close (5:30pm)
