JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Provide a continuous flow of production materials and digital files to printing.
  • Receive, analyze and ship production materials based on GPI needs and specifications
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to secure approved prepress materials
  • Communicate directly with all departments within the company to pass along production materials and written information necessary for the understanding of those materials
  • Maintain and update all corporate and department material databases
  • Interact, resolve issues and maintain communications among plant.
  • Perform job assembly and production and process Work Orders as they are made available
  • Processing of Graphics Requests as necessary
  • Maintain plant production schedules, communicate with production control
  • Strong computer foundation with the ability to manipulate digital graphic files
  • Good understanding of digital proofing, digital plate production and reading of CAD files
  • The Graphics Coordinator will organize New Business meetings to provide information relevant to job preparation.
  • An item qualifies as “new business” if it is received by Solon for prep for die size and style that has not been produced before by GPI, or revised. Additionally, new business consists of any item whose printing technology has changed.
  • Follow up with suppliers and GPI plants working towards continuous improvement and updating of materials as needs arise
  • Filing, cleaning and general maintenance of all department equipment
  • Perform periodic after hours cell phone support as required
  • Actively participate in roles vital to daily technical operations in the department
  • Research new product releases and contribute to implementation and training
  • Directly involved in responsibilities / actions related to Prerequisites and Food Safety Programs.
  • In the absence of Graphic Coordinator, daily responsibilities will be transferred to another qualified associate.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Reporting of any customer complaints to persons responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action taken.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
