Chef Ray Hayashi is making Hermosa Beach his home with his first restaurant RYLA. RYLA is an homage to the cultural melting pot that Los Angeles native Chef Ray Hayashi grew up in. This ultra modern restaurant combines creative Asian cuisine with French techniques and true SoCal hospitality, bringing you the experience of that one night out you cant forget.. We are looking to recruit skilled, highly passionate, experienced and motivated Prep Cooks @ RYLA.

A flexible schedule is preferred and dinner hours will be required. Most of all we are looking for hard working individuals who are passionate about the industry and are looking for the opportunity to grow in the kitchen. Any qualified candidate will possess humility, integrity and respect.

You're Good At:

• You follow food safety procedures, daily prep list, prepares specific recipes for cooks; clean, sanitize and maintain equipment, utensils and tools throughout kitchen.
• You ensure only fresh high quality ingredients are used when preparing all recipes.
• You ensure proper recipe is displayed on the monitor during the preparation and cooking process.
• You love to ensure proper recipe adherence is followed whenever producing items.
• You are super safe and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring floor surfaces are clean, dry and free from debris.
• You demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking equipment in assigned cooking station to include; startup, shut down, shift maintenance, cleaning and repairing as needed.
• You like a super clean and organized work station.
• You prepare thoroughly and strive for perfection.
