Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development of functional requirements for dc-dc converters, inverters and charging systems.
  • Lead hiring of power electronics project engineers.
  • Manage troubleshooting of hardware and software issues during prototype and production phase.
  • Manage a small team of power electronics engineers supporting various programs.
  • Lead the development of power electronics and electric machines lab infrastructure.
  • Represent power electronics group in multiple project meetings with suppliers and other cross functional engineering teams.
  • Manage Performance evaluation of engineers (PMP)
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external design reviews with suppliers.
  • Manage and coordinate supplier evaluation and selection activity with Purchasing team.
  • Plan and manage development of testing procedure for power electronics component validation.
  • Manage the execution of thermal, electrical, and mechanical modeling of Power Electronics components.
  • Plan and coordinate resources with Technical Project lead and share risk mitigation with Management team.
  • Execute power electronics strategy with the support of core technical team.
  • Plan annual resources and evaluate critical skillsets needed to execute the projects.

The annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $183,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 10 or more years of industry experience.
  • Past OEM or Startup experience or Tier-1 product development experience.

OR

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 8 or more years of industry experience.
  • Past OEM or Startup experience or Tier-1 product development experience.

OR

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 5 or more years of industry experience.
  • Past OEM or Startup experience or Tier-1 product development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on testing and modeling experience with HV power electronics.
  • Basic understanding about Functional Safety and EMI/EMC.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous people management experience.
