Pool Director

1. Job Summary

Ensure the daily operations for the pool area which includes an Olympic sized swimming pool, baby pool, pool bar and snack bar are being properly maintained by the lifeguards, snack bar attendants and bartenders.

II. Job Tasks

1. Manages all areas of the Pool operation. Supervises the Pool Manager.

2. Formulates weekly work schedules for snack bar employees.

3. Works with the club’s Maintenance Supervisor to maintain proper chemical balance in pools and maintain mechanical equipment.

4. Prepare and maintain correct payroll records of all pool employees.

5. Maintains an inventory of supplies and towels

6. Checks first aid supplies and orders necessary items as needed

7. Ensures that members and guests are registered at pool entrance and charges for all guests and lessons are recorded accurately.

8. Maintains a courteous, polite and helpful relationship with all members and guests

9. Resolves member and guest complaints

10. Ensures that necessary orientation and training for the lifeguard staff and snack bar employees is conducted.

11. Enforces club rules of safety and conduct

12. Plans and directs special holiday events that take place at the pool facility.

13. Plans all programs according to monthly and yearly calendar

14. Arranges a program schedule for private and group swimming lessons

15. Represents the club in activities as requested by the General Manager.

16. Orders and sells swim suits and other pool accessories; keeps accurate accounting records of sales

17. Maintains and keeps all necessary records concerning pool attendance, accident reports, problem-member reports and lifeguard and instructor schedules

18. Develops and implements pool safety programs

19. Pursues continuous development and education for himself and for subordinates to enhance image, quality and offering of the department (first aid and CPR certification- all required by law)

20. Assists in pool opening and closing at the beginning and end of the season

21. Interacts with outside contractors and club maintenance department to maintain and upgrade pool area

22. Provides aquatics-related information for the club mailers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
• Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)
