About
An OEM electrical services company in the Critical Power/Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) industry is looking for a Field Electrician, PLC Technician or UPS Field Technician to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Three phase power UPS units in data centers. This is an ideal role for a candidate with electrical experience with three phase power, PLC or automation experience, or UPS familiarity.
Location
- Detroit MI. Relocation assistance available if applicable.
Compensation and Benefits
- $37.50/hour, 40 hours guaranteed pay each week, + overtime pay on weekends and after 40 hours

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment start-ups, field troubleshooting and battery replacements on UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems and Diesel Generators. Training will be provided if applicable
- Document all work done and issues at each client site
- Work with other team members on installation projects
- Could travel 25% of time with company truck within region, or by airplane
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply and OEMs: APC, MGE, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and Vertiv is preferred
- Three phase power experience
- PLC or automation troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)
- Electrical trade school degree or military experience/training preferred
- Participate in rotational on-call schedule for occasional issues that may arise after hours
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Great communication skills
- Computer literate, can use Email and Microsoft Excel & Word
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
