Job description
Acara solutions is looking for a Plater for our client located in Torrance, CA
- Coats ferrous and non-ferrous parts using chemical and electro-chemical plating and treating processes,including: cadmium, copper, temper etch, white layer, anodizing, black oxide and hard chrome.
- Determines from blueprint and EOS the process to be used, the amount of treatment desired and surfaces to be masked.
- Plates various ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Loads and unloads parts.
- Visually inspects parts prior to unloading, for suitable surface for plating and after plating for coverage and buildup.
- Checks the functioning of equipment periodically during the process to estimate any additional plating time
- Anodizes, dichromates and chrome pickles parts when volume of electro-plating does not need full time.
- Masks parts when needed.
- Plates or processes experimental and development parts.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Pay and Benefits:
- The salary for this position is $30.07per hour (Max Pay rate).
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as Plater.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Has basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
