Storm is seeking a Plant Engineer Supervisor for an immediate Direct Hire opportunity. This position is for an established, growing, and well-known company in Springfield, MA.

Basic Details:

  • Shift/Hours: 1st shift – 6am-4pm or 10a-6pm
  • Pay range: $104K - $130K

Summary:

As part of the Engineering team, you would oversee the maintenance team, analyze data, draft implementation plans for production process optimization. Seeking out ways to maximize efficiencies by eliminating the waste of valuable resources that directly impact our overall operating costs. You are instrumental to the manufacturing of product brands, to meet the needs of our customers and consumers.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for managing the activities of the maintenance department of a large complex plant to keep building and equipment maintained and repaired if needed, in order to reduce downtime and keep product flow and production lines running at maximum efficiency. Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventative/ Predictive Maintenance, TPM, etc.) as well as maintaining safety.
  • Delegation, policy and procedure administration, assignment of work responsibilities, planning, organizing, directing and follow-up with work assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar role and 5+ in a leadership, team development and management, required.
  • Advanced technical skills in the mechanical/electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.) and is able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Suite, Word, etc.)
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem solving and the ability to work in a fast-paced complex environment.
  • Ability to physically perform the job, such as lifting, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Industrial Maintenance experience is accepted however, it must be extensive.
