Planner II
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Planner to support the manufacturing plant - Plant 13 in Cartersville, GA.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply basic computer knowledge to key in important information
- Fairly and consistently release yarn to other tufting manufacturing plants
- Ability to interpret and explain order specification sheets
- Schedule and prioritize orders to flow through the plant
- Must be able to make decisions quickly and accurately
- Express and maintain a professional attitude towards any and all customers (internal or external)
- Communicate routing instructions to warehouse personnel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to ensure customer’s requirements are met
- Understand and Support all SAFE, SMS, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, and Environmental efforts
- Ability to use/understand Demand Management, Shop Flex & TMS systems - Lead meetings when necessary and attend necessary training
- Must be able to adapt to multiple high pressure changes and make decisions when necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required, 2 or 4 year degree preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, word processing and spreadsheets
- Customer Service Experience preferred
- Production Planning/Inventory Management experience preferred
- Previous warping or tufting carpet manufacturing experience preferred
