Position: Placement Finding Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Salary: $40,019.20 - $46,696.00 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
Job Type: Full Time
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Placement Finding Specialists are responsible for receiving information about the youth by phone from case managers and assessing, in conjunction with the case manager, the youth’s placement needs. The Placement Finding Specialist must be able to utilize strong assessment and communication skills to learn about the youth and their needs to provide a stable placement for children, minimizing placement disruptions and using the known strengths of each placement provider. A strong emphasis is put on placing siblings together, maintaining youth in their community, and minimizing the number of placements changes the youth experience while in foster care. This position must meet established benchmarks for each referral type and develop and maintain strong relationships with placement options, case managers, and internal program staff to effectively carry out their responsibilities. The Placement Finding Specialist must complete mandatory, annual training requirements. This position may include evening and/or weekend hours
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other Human service-related field and at least three (3) years of work experience with children and families. Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
