Our client Weisz & Sons Inc. located in Bismarck, ND, has a career opportunity for a
Pipe Foreman. The position is a permanent/seasonal, safety oriented, Pipe Foreman for sewer and waterline construction. Job requirements include experience installing water, sewer, and storm sewer pipe. Ability to work 50-60 hours a week, which may include occasional weekends. Must have a current valid driver’s license. Wage is negotiable depending on experience.
Job duties will include:
- Coordinating and supervising a safe pipe crew in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Conducting daily job progress reports, job hazard assessments and corrective actions.
- Understanding and reading underground plans and specifications.
- Understanding grade, slope elevations and operations of grade equipment.
- Assembling and installing water, sewer and storm sewer pipe.
- Training new employees.
- Testing water lines.
- Occasional heavy equipment operation.
- Management of materials being delivered to projects.
Desired skills include:
- Knowledge of ND DOT and City of Bismarck specifications is a plus.
- OSHA "competent person" status a plus.
