POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Pricing Coordinator PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To coordinate and conduct scheduled implementation of price changes at store level. NATURE AND SCOPE Primary emphasis in this position is on effective coordination and implementation of store price change information in order that store management can maintain necessary price controls and integrity. Timeliness and accuracy of implementation are keys to the position. Primary learning challenge is understanding the pricing and scanning systems as well as front end procedures to effectively coordinate price change information. Position directs work of pricing associates. Problem solving primarily in resolving pricing discrepancies, requiring collaboration with Division P.O.S. Coordinator, Store Director and department managers. This position requires ongoing social skills/verbal interaction, judgment/decision making, computer operation, reading, and walking. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by the Store Director or person in charge.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS 1. Coordinates and performs implementation of price changes - Ensures that prices are correct and that they go into effect in a timely and consistent manner - Communicates and resolves price discrepancies and scan error forms with department managers, vendors and cashiers - Makes and/or enters changes in computer systems, shelf tags and necessary paperwork - Participates in weekly staff meetings as requested 2. Coordinates and conducts displays, competitive ads, coupons, and in-store deal price changes - Verifies for accuracy in price on shelf and display, returns shelf and display to regular price when needed, updates computer files on PC and completes reports 3. Ensures new items are priced accurately and all necessary data is entered into computer files Pricing Coordinator/ Page2 - Ensures that new items are flagged for tax, food stamps, and accurate description and department - Produces and maintains at least one disk copy of the store item file each week - Communicates effectively with all vendors 4. Coordinates and performs proper signing and stickering - Ensures accuracy and that policies and procedures are followed 5. Ensures price check calls are responded to in a timely and consistent manner 6. Coordinates and conducts verification of prices on an ongoing basis using verification equipment and audits - Informs Division personnel of potential pricing errors or inconsistencies 7. Performs personnel functions for Pricing Department - Plans, delegates and oversees work of pricing associates - Determines work needs and writes labor schedule in most effective manner - Performs performance evaluations - Recommends disciplinary action - Ensures proper training - Communicates and works with Store Director and Human Resources as appropriate to above functions Functional Requirements Frequent: Physical - equipment operation (P.C./P.O.S. terminal, tape gun, markers, verification unit), walking, reaching, sitting, standing Mental – judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing Physical – equipment operation (telephone, intercom) Occasional: Physical – equipment operation (P.C.), climbing ladders 8. Follows all store and department policies and procedures --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL POSITION FUNCTIONS 9. Assists in cashiering when needed Functional Requirements Frequent: Physical - lifting 10 to 25 lbs., equipment operation (scanner, register), standing, reaching, turning Mental - judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction memorization, reading, writing, math Pricing Co-Ordinator/Page3 10. Provides for efficient organization of pricing office - Orders supplies and forms, maintains office cleanliness and maintains equipment 11.
