The Harris Center is looking for an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our IDD and Early Childhood Intervention services team

About the Position

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at The Harris Center, you will provide ongoing assessments regarding child development and physical therapy to infants and toddlers 0 - 3 years old. Based on the child's Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals, you will provide physical therapy services to meet the needs of the child and family. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will often be the one in communication with the family, so you will need to carefully document all contact and attempts.

About Early Childhood Intervention

As part of our Intellectual Disability and Autism Services, The Harris Center provides services designed to assist parents in addressing the needs of children under the age of 3 with delayed development and/or certain medical diagnoses that result in delayed development. Our team works together to provide evaluation and assessment, occupational and physical therapy, speech-language therapy, service coordination, family counseling and education, and developmental services in the child's home or community settings.Benefits

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Licensed as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas
  • Experience working with children from 0 - 3 years of age, preferredAbout The Harris Center
