Responsibilities:
What you'll do:
The Phlebotomist (Certified) holds a national certification or registry license. This position performs all aspects of patient and client registration, ordering, venipuncture, specimen collection, ensures regulatory test compliance, assists with retraining phlebotomy or clerical skills as needed. This position performs clinical POC testing as needed and also maintains files of patient orders and other records. The Phlebotomist (Certified) interacts with numerous people daily and consistently maintains focus on customer service and quality. This position supports the Laboratory Department and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor.
Qualifications:
What you'll bring:
  • High school diploma, technical school preferred
  • Technical school or two years of college, preferred
  • PBT (ASCP) Certification, preferred
  • One year phlebotomy experience, preferred
  • Office/secretarial and computer experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibility
