Overview:
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician 1 – Fulfillment is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive tasks in a complex specialty/mail order pharmacy. This may include delivery ticket fulfillment, restocking, labeling and packaging medications and inventory management.
The Pharmacy Technician will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives. Responsibilities/Job Description:

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician 1 – Fulfillment is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive tasks in a complex specialty/mail order pharmacy. This may include delivery ticket fulfillment, restocking, labeling and packaging medications and inventory management.
The Pharmacy Technician will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.
Job Expectations:
- Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
- Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and accurate inventory records, clean work areas, organize supplies, completing cycle counts and reconciling as appropriate.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred
Education
- Six months pharmacy technician experience, completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.
License/Certification/Registration
- Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Required
