Essential Elements of the Job:
- Accept verbal orders from voice mail and direct phone contacts
- Counsel patients and doctors about our compounds and medications
- Perform initial verification on all prescriptions and final verification on prescriptions filled in the Dispensing area.
- Supervise technicians indirectly
- Monitor work flow and collaborate with the team to make minor adjustments to address high volume areas as necessary
- Provide superior customer service to patients and providers
- Ensure compliance with Women’s International Pharmacy, Inc. Policies and Procedures
- Strong comprehension of all applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
- Assist with technician duties when workflow necessitates
- Maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: Attend conferences, precept students, coordinate journal club, provide individualized service to select providers, act as resident expert for certain conditions or medications/supplements, assist with inventories, project work
