The Director, Gross to Net (GTN) is responsible for driving the strategic partnership across the Finance and Market Access functions by managing the GTN forecasting and financial close processes. The GTN role is the central point of contact for key stakeholders across commercial contracting, distribution, and government GTN deductions, and will manage data request, facilitate proactive stakeholder engagement, develop analytics and management reports to ensure an efficient, effective GTN cross-functional process. The GTN role will maintain a sustainable GTN modeling framework and lead long-term reporting capability development to enhance business insights and support strategic objectives. Additionally, the Director GTN role will be responsible for monthly financial close, including development of accrual rates, journal entry development, and periodic balance sheet reconciliations for GTN reserves.

Responsibilities:
  • This role is a key leader that will spearhead the gross to net activities for the entire pharmaceutical business and work closely with the President of Pharma and the Finance team.
  • This role will be a key resource in reporting and providing critical analyses of the US Region’s financial performance to both Finance leadership and internal Market Access business partners to drive all revenue products accurately reported.
  • This position will partner work closely with the President of Pharma along with broader Finance stakeholders and the Market Access and Accounting teams to own the build-out and continued execution of gross to net (GTN) analysis, reporting, and forecasting processes
  • This role will require interactions and collaboration throughout the pharma organization including within Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and senior US Commercial leadership
  • This role will require a strong analytical ability and an excellent understanding of the data sources, value chain, and overall business trends, creating the strategy around all GTN for the pharma business.
  • Regularly reviewing historical channel level GTN claims data to provide insights to the Finance teams and to Market Access leadership.
  • Using insights to build and maintain channel level GTN forecasts for input into revenue forecasting models; collaborating with US Commercial leadership to ensure visibility to and alignment on GTN assumptions
  • Pre-deal analytics via the evaluation of the impact of business initiatives and programs on GTN (for example: copay card programs, payer contracting, etc.); conducting post-deal monitoring and assessment of performance on executed programs/contracts
  • Participating in Contracts Review Committee and keeping Finance leadership up to date on progress of contracting initiatives
  • Supporting Market Access team with analytics support as needed
  • Leading continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and leading financial risk management and financial governance in areas of accountability
  • Working proactively with the business to understand future financial information needs and produce efficient solutions to meet these needs
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate sound financial principles
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and participating in and leading ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience in financial planning and reporting required.
  • Background in pharmaceutical finance required, especially Pharma gross-to-net accounting and reporting
  • Prior experience in developing short- and long-term commercial forecasts, GTN models, pricing and contracting break-even analysis

The approximate pay range for this position is $184,000 to $202,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
