FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of the Personal Property Supervisor, performs duties relative to the assessment of the Personal Property including Businesses, Farms and Manufactured Homes in Oklahoma County.
KEY DUTIES: Research and appraise Personal Property for assessment purposes. Process Personal Property renditions, hard copies and electronically. Perform analysis of processed work to confirm quality control using Microsoft Excel, Access and various software filters and reports. Assist the public in person and over the phone with Personal Property inquiries. Frequently performs inquiries and account updates utilizing specialized computer assisted appraisal software. Reviews data for accuracy of assessments and processes corrections as needed. Coordinates with the field appraisers to ensure proper assessments of Personal Property. Prepares the appropriate forms and documents as required by Oklahoma Statues. Seasonally completes on site field inspections of Personal Property. All duties assigned by your supervisor and/or the administrative office.

Experience: Good office skills and work well with public. Advanced computer knowledge required including extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, Access or other database management systems. Able to promptly answer email, phone calls, in-person inquiries and any other electronic communications utilizing good verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. For seasonal field inspections of Personal Property, it is necessary to have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with at least the minimum state required vehicle liability insurance. Travel is reimbursed for use of personal vehicle.

Education: High school diploma or GED. Must achieve Advanced Accreditation status of State Assessment Classes within first 18 months of employment and maintain 30 hours of continuing education credit every (3) three years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,600.00 per month

Schedule:
