Highly Specialized Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Office looking for driven, efficient and caring Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Assistants.

EDWARD J NELSON D.M.D., P.C. has served the NVA/DC area for more than 30 years. We care for a range of children of all ages, backgrounds, learning disabilities and needs. We are looking for hard working, career minded, thoughtful and kind people to add to our team of dental assistants and interns.

Our office is upbeat and fast paced, and employees not only learn a lifelong skill in dentistry, but time management, the workings of successful business structures, excellent bedside manner, and how to be an integral part of a team.

Your duties will include: caring for our pediatric and adolescent patients, listening to their needs and educating them on dental procedures, performing dental cleanings, updating the patient's medical history, charting, taking X-Rays, helping with orthodontic procedures, assisting with restorative procedures, and performing general office duties. Must be able to work efficiently to maintain and support the dentist’s schedule.

Orthodontic experience is not necessary. You just need to come with a good attitude and a willingness to learn and work hard. Must work well with children.

Office hours: Monday-Thursday 7:20-5:30 No Fridays.

Employment type: part or full-time, will work around school schedules

Compensation: entry level pay starts at $15/hr, depending on skill level and productivity base pay is higher.

Room for career growth and job stability— over 10 employees have been with the practice for 5+ years, and 5 have been with us for 10+.

X-ray certification a plus.
