What You Will Do as a Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, you will participate in and carry out all payroll processes that positively impact the employees of all the nursing centers managed by Stonerise.

Some of your primary responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out all payroll functions accurately and timely
  • Processing and remitting payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and 401K
  • Preparing and distributing W2s
  • Reviewing and reconciling payroll related balance sheet accounts monthly
  • Preparing labor hour reports and other reports weekly
  • Updating employee terminations, department changes, and any other employee status changes
  • Processing monthly transactions in Sage 100 as it relates to payroll deposits, insurance payments, and other third-party cash disbursements
  • Establishing working relationships with center business offices and developing any necessary processes to facilitate timely and accurate exchange of payroll related information
  • Participating in special projects such as acquisition transitions, implementation of new systems, and other special management requests
  • Processing and controlling documentation

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program at the associate level or above; work experience considered in lieu of secondary education
  • Minimum of one (1) year of payroll experience and other office activities
  • Proficiency with computers; prefer experience with QuickBooks, Sage 100 (MAS 90), and Microsoft Office
