POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations in support of the PCBP family of companies.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the guidance of the Director, HR Services with minimal supervision required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Accountable for supervision of Payroll Administrators and Payroll Tax Analysts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

may include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees execution of payroll processing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee data updates including new hires, terminations, changes in status, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors and legal teams as needed.
  • Identifies, recommends, tests, and participates in change management of updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Execution of W2 processes and other year end activities
  • Review of payroll tax filings on monthly, quarterly, and year end basis

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, co-workers and vendors.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties. Must have knowledge of computer and other automated systems; and working knowledge of the principles and practices of systems analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
