Job Summary:

Functions as a member of the Payroll Department to facilitate verification, authorization, and processing of accurate time records. Clearly demonstrates Service Excellence behavior in every day operational procedures.

Job Functions:

  • Using the KRONOS application reviews weekly totals on Nursing Department and Administration electronic time cards for accuracy. Corrects erroneous pay code edits and work transfer rules. Advises the Department Manager when appropriate. Full understanding of the collective bargaining unit pay policies, as well as union free pay practices as applied to the KRONOS time and attendance system.
  • Keeps Departmental Timekeepers and Management Team apprised of the KRONOS sign off deadline requirement. Provides the Payroll Manager with a weekly listing of non-compliant departments upon request
  • Acts as a liaison between various departments by communicating missed punch procedures, incorrect manual entries etc. Removes sign off for corrective timecard actions when required.
  • Enters schedule changes into the KRONOS system for employees when necessary.
  • Performs data entry in the PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system in accordance with internal Payroll procedures and the appropriate pay period ending date
  • Works as a team member to ensure that Service Excellence standards are exhibited daily.
  • Responsible for direct deposit account implementation into the PeopleSoft system. Employee contact for all direct deposit inquiries.
  • Responsible for sealing direct deposit advices and the distribution process.
  • Completes all employment verifications including but not limited to mortgage applications, unemployment forms, etc.
  • Responds to inquiries related to duplicate document requests. Prioritizes and schedules the external mailing process using Federal Express, certified mail or providing a Payroll Departmental pick up when necessary

Job Essentials:

  • Typing and MS Office computer skills

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
