Job Summary

The Safety Patrol Officer is responsible for ensuring the general safety of the employees. In an emergency situation they will make sure that all employees are out of the building and safe from harm’s way. They will immediately alert Production Management to any safety risks or concerns. They are responsible for opening and closing gates as needed in a timely manner. They will watch our live feed camera monitors constantly on a daily basis. They are alert, detail oriented, and approachable.

NOTE: Schedule is 1:30 am -10:00 am

Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
• Monitoring front gate access to ensure all employees have their company badges and are signing in when entering the facility
• Monitor our parking gates to ensure no unwarranted traffic occurs and only Sunderstorm vehicles and employees are entering
• Evicting trespassers and violators while following legal protocols before other authorities arrive to take over
• Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities
• Must be able to provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management, including but not limited to sending end of day reports via Slack to our safety channel
• Testing Security systems if needed
• Other related tasks and duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Great communication skills, positive attitude, trustworthy, dependable, accountable for own actions, and able to receive constructive criticism.
• Must be able to time manage and multitask
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures related to production needs
• Must be able to complete pre-employment physical, set up through Sunderstorm
• Fluency in both written and spoken English preferred but not required
