Status: Part Time
Patient Transportation is a great opportunity to begin your career in the medical field. As a Transporter, you will develop the interpersonal, professional, and managerial skills necessary for your success in any career in the medical field. Using EPIC transport tracking, the latest in patient movement technology, and equipped with your Basic Lifesaving Steps (BLS) Certification you will be able to utilize your own abilities to assist inpatient care.
The Transport Team provides service to the hospital from 5:30 a.m. – Midnight, seven days a week, with varying shifts between 5:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to fit your school, social or pre-professional schedule. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions are available.
Responsibilities
Performs activities related to transportation of patients to and from diagnostic testing, room to room transfers, discharge, and admission as directed by nursing and ancillary departments. Serves the customer base in the facility such as: patients, visitors, physician offices, ancillary departments and nursing units.
Qualifications
A. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
B. Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
C. Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire.
