Job description

Parts Runners are responsible for making sure parts make it to job sites and to shops so we can repair machines and effectively meet needs for the field. It is important that a Parts Runner is on time and effectively listening to instructions and communicating information as needed. Their travel areas include Miami-Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County, Martin County, and St. Lucie County. At times they will be asked to work on weekends and make further trips to Brooksville, Fort Myers, and Naples.

Job Description

• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills, motivated to train and learn.
• Flexibility in schedule including evenings early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Drive to various locations to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
• Valid Driver’s license with NO: DWI convictions in the past 4 years, No more than one moving violation and/or fault accident in the last three years, Minimum 18 Years age.
• One (1) year experience working as a parts runner or in a warehouse environment
• Drug free workplace and background check.
• Driving throughout metropolitan area using maps and directions, in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate (read, write and speak) in English.
• Handling cash, charge transactions correctly and core/part returns appropriately.
• Maintain Distribution log or tracking system to record all deliveries / pick-ups made.
• Lifting up to 120 lbs. for deliveries.
• Able to operate a forklift and machinery as needed to unload and load equipment.
• Inspecting, protecting and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, building and people.
• Protect all parts and equipment and keep company vehicle neat and in professional appearance.
• Be accurate and timely with collecting packing slips, receipts, paper work.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, multitask and possess strong initiative.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and parts is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and handle a list of pick up and drop offs.
• During downtime help around the shop with mowing, weed eating, and assisting mechanics.
